Toddlers need at least 180 minutes of physical activity at any intensity spread throughout the day, including:
- A variety of activities in different environments
- Activities that develop movement skills
Being active for a toddler means:
- Getting some tummy time
- Climbing stairs and moving around the home
- Crawling, brisk walking, running or dancing
- Playing outside and exploring their environment (Try using soap bubbles)
- Developing body awareness with massage
