French Language Services Survey Made Available to the Public

Timmins, Ontario — Wednesday, November 29, 2023

The Porcupine Health Unit (PHU) is committed to offering fair and safe health care to French-speaking clients. As part of this work, we are launching a short survey on the service experiences of French-speaking clients. The survey will be available to all French-speaking PHU clients starting today, Wednesday, November 29, 2023.

Guylaine Malette-Robichaud, Manager of School Program, Oral Health, and Branch Offices, stated, "The PHU is dedicated to providing health services in clients' preferred official language. We've emphasized offering high-quality French services and taking action to make them better. This survey is another step to meet the needs of the francophone population." Malette-Robichaud explains that the survey will help the health unit:

• Gather valuable data,
• Find areas to improve, and
• Create strategies to improve services for clients who speak French.

“We’re looking for opportunities to make meaningful changes that meet the needs and expectations of our communities,” Malette-Robichaud added.
