The Porcupine Health Unit is seeking applications from qualified individuals who are interested in providing administrative support within multi-disciplinary teams in our Matheson office. This is a part-time position working half days Monday to Friday. As an integral team member, the Administrative Assistant will be responsible for performing tasks such as data entry; filing and managing information including program supplies and documents; scheduling appointments, interacting with clients, processing and formatting documents; preparing agendas and recording minutes and providing reception relief.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in office administration program or equivalent education, training and work experience;
- Previous work experience in office administration is an asset;
- Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills including WORD, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint;
- Ability to learn to use specialized software and databases;
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy;
- Effective interpersonal skills and desire to work with a multi-disciplinary team;
- Exceptional customer service skills;
- Strong time management and organizational skills;
- Fluency in both official languages is an asset;
- Ability to assist with implementation of program activities and events as necessary which may involve some evening work;
- Satisfactory Criminal Reference Check;
- Required to comply with Immunization policies including COVID-19 vaccination unless valid medical exemption is provided.
- Ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the position.
